One&Only Le Saint Géran

One&Only Golf

The 9-hole One&Only Golf, par 33, is a Gary Player designed golf course which includes a One&Only Golf Academy. The use of the course is complimentary and expert golf tuition is provided by the Academy’s Pro for a nominal fee.
This 9-hole golf course is unique in Mauritius since it is the only course using local grass on the fairways and on the greens. Thousands of coconut and palm trees also edge the course. The local grass not only accentuates the exotic feel of the place but it also creates a challenge to all golfers. The course is also a challenge because of the four par 4 and one par 5, the grass is an additional challenge due to the fact that it is thicker and therefore prevents the ball from rolling on long distances. Furthermore, the sixth hole run along the beach and offers magnificent views on the Indian Ocean to the golfers. Regarding the water holes, they are strategically placed around the golf creating a challenge for the pros and for the beginners alike. Guests can also play 18 holes on the One&Only Golf with different departures.

Constance Belle Mare Plage

The Legend

'The Legend', the first of its kind in Mauritius, designed by South African champion, Hugh Baiocchi, is the crowning achievement of Constance Belle Mare Plage The Resort, located along one of the most superb beaches on the island. Each of the 18 holes has distinctive characteristics. Superb fairways are laid in the heart of an indigenous forest, culminating in brand new greens, built to USPGA specifications. In our constant effort to provide the perfect golfing location, all 18 greens have been rebuilt using Tif Dwarf grasses to ensure a perfect surface. Time has also been taken to enhance the natural beauty of a site originally used to breed deer. Teeing off from the 17th hole (par 3) is a feast for the eyes and a test for the nerves.

A championship golf course, in the heart of the south of Mauritius

Attached to two hotels the Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort and the Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort, the magnificent 18 holes “Golf du Château” golf course which covers 100 hectares, is the masterpiece of architect Peter Matkovitch, of Peter Matkovich and Hayes the world renowned South African architectural practice.

Situated between the mountains and the sea in an undulating landscape interspersed with lakes, streams and tropical trees, the championship course (Par 72) which is both technically challenging and varied, provides golfers with unique possibilities for a game with exceptional moments and memories. It presents a real challenge to everyone who plays there, egging them on – whatever their level of competence – to surpass themselves in terms of their technique, their know-how and their skill. The architects of the course have integrated the two water courses that cross the golf course in the most beautiful way, creating small lakes which enhance the demands made on the technique of the players and yet fully respect the harmony and tranquility of the place. They have also integrated the magnificent Château of Bel Ombre and its gardens into the design at the heart of the golf course.
This course is certainly one of the most beautiful on the island with an amazing view over the lagoon to the south on one side and towards the hills of the Black River Gorges nature reserve on the other, giving players unique panoramic views at each hole. It consists of 2 courses of 9 holes each. The 9 hole outside course is 3,210m long while the inside course is 3,297m long: the 3 by 3 vary from 140m to 200m, the 4 by 4 from 320m to 430m, the 4 by 5 from 490m to 520m. In addition, a mashie course has been created, a 9 hole par 3 course, ideal both for beginners as well as for more advanced golfers wanting to perfect their game.
